About Me
Advocate Charmy Patel holds dual degrees in Commerce and Law. She earned her B.Com from Som Lalit College, Gujarat University, and her LL.B. from L.A. Shah Law College, ranking 19th in Gujarat. She is enrolled with the Bar Council of Gujarat and is a member of the Gujarat High Court Advocates Association.
She pursued an LL.M. in International Corporate Law at the University of Leeds, UK, on a scholarship, specializing in insolvency, bankruptcy, foreign investment, and corporate governance. After graduation, she worked at a top law firm in Ahmedabad before moving to the U.S., where she gained expertise in immigration law while working in Las Vegas and California.
She later earned a second LL.M. in Gaming Laws from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas—the only U.S. university offering this program. As the only Indian lawyer to study this field, she specialized in casino, gambling, and sports betting laws. She also received the GLS Scholarship from the State Bar of Nevada and worked with pioneers in the U.S. gaming industry, gaining in-depth regulatory experience.
